Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between dan the tank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Javier Cano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). the tank comes to the cage accompanied by ready to fight. dan the tank could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Javier Cano's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, dan the tank!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Javier Cano!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from the tank.
the tank looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

the tank gets a takedown into half guard.
the tank content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
the tank thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Cano wants to get back to his feet.
the tank trying to mount his opponent but Cano defends it.
the tank with the ground and pound but Cano uses the opportunity to regain guard.
the tank pushing down on Cano's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. the tank connects with a nice short shot to Cano's temple.

the tank seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

the tank looks to land a strike but Cano avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Cano wants to stand and escape but the tank is having none of it.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as the tank accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Cano lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for the tank!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
the tank is desperately trying to improve his position but Cano has a good base and remains in mount.

Cano lands a big shot there that rocks the tank but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That was a close round but I would say that dan the tank will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Cano misses with a series of wild punches.
Cano is looking to clinch.
the tank shoots in looking for a takedown. Cano tries to sprawl out of it but the tank keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cano manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cano throws a one two combo.
Cano is looking to clinch but the tank is avoiding it.
Cano attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Cano moves into the clinch.

the tank breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cano misses with a few strikes there.
the tank closes the distance and clinches up with Cano, looking for a takedown. the tank pushes Cano against the cage but Cano circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Cano throws a sloppy head kick and the tank moves out of range easily.

the tank keeps control of Cano as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cano is looking to break free of the clinch but the tank has double underhooks.
Cano drops down looking for an ankle pick but the tank pulls his leg out and moves away.

the tank closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - the tank lands in his opponent's guard.

the tank has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

the tank escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cano gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
dan the tank overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That was a close second round but I would say that dan the tank will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Cano parries the strikes from the tank easily there. the tank is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Cano to escape.

BOOM! the tank connects with a massive shot to the dome!

the tank misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
the tank lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for the tank, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
