Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Phil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Johnny Guy has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnny Guy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Big Phil!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


It looks like Big Phil has been cut.
Phil looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Guy is defended easily by Phil.
Guy with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Phil misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

and Phil counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Phil.
Guy jumps guard but Phil stands there with Guy around his waist. Guy gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Phil takes an elbow to the forehead.
Phil is pressed up against the cage. Guy has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Phil down to the mat. Phil avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Guy isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Phil stacks Guy on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Phil!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Guy is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Phil asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Guy is trying to control Phil's posture but Phil avoids it.

Guy tries for a takedown but Phil sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Phil is looking for a kimura but Guy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Phil to get the leverage.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Guy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Guy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Phil is working away from the top position though.
Guy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Phil's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Phil's back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Guy tries to keep control of the position but Phil is staying busy.
Phil wants to control his opponent's hands but Guy gets his hands free.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Phil manages to reverse the position and now he's in Guy's guard. Nice work there by Phil.
Guy wants to stand but Phil is controlling the position.

Phil is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Guy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Phil is one step ahead there.
Phil stops Guy from standing up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Phil decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Guy, up you get!

Big Phil showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Guy lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Guy fails with an attempt to clinch.
Phil sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Guy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Phil as he avoids it easily.

and Phil counters with a single leg into guard. Guy didn't expect that.
Phil stays in close to Guy's body and controls the position.

Guy looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Guy wants to stand but Phil is controlling the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Phil stands up and waves to Guy to follow him.
Guy stuffs the takedown attempt from Phil. Phil gets slowly back to his feet.
Guy is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Guy throws a head kick but Phil moves out of range.

so Phil counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Guy. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Guy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Phil controls the pace.
Guy is trying to control the position but Phil postures up.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Guy has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Phil is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Guy.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Guy tries to strike but it doesn't land.
Phil happy to just control the position for now.

Phil is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Guy will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Johnny Guy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Big Phil is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Big Phil comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Phil winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
