The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeMarco connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Vandrax takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
DeMarco bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Vandrax's head.
It looks like Brandon Vandrax has been cut.
DeMarco stuns Vandrax with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
DeMarco moves into the clinch.
DeMarco works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
DeMarco is pushing down on Vandrax's leg trying to pass to half guard. Vandrax is fighting to maintain full guard but DeMarco has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
DeMarco uses his free foot to push down on Vandrax's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Vandrax.
DeMarco lands a big shot there that rocks Vandrax but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Vandrax takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

DeMarco lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
DeMarco lands with some strikes.
DeMarco unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Vandrax wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! DeMarco celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
