Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pirate Everett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Le Fondre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Pirate Everett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Le Fondre!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Everett clinches with his opponent.
Everett stalling the fight.

Le Fondre pulls Everett into guard.
Everett is looking to work some ground and pound but Le Fondre has wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Le Fondre not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Le Fondre manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Everett manages to get himself to full guard.
Everett keeping moving, preventing Le Fondre from controlling successfully.
Le Fondre is looking to work some ground and pound but Everett has wrist control.
Everett keeping full guard, as Le Fondre tries to pass.
Everett knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Le Fondre on the ground.
Le Fondre stands and throws Everett's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Le Fondre sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Everett is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Le Fondre trying to control the position but Everett is working away.
Everett wants to get back to his feet but Le Fondre drags him back down.

Le Fondre is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Everett is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Everett defending against the ground and pound.
Everett could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Le Fondre trying to control the position but Everett is working away.
Everett is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Le Fondre is controlling him well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Everett can't do much from the bottom here.

Le Fondre decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Nice sprawl there from Everett as Le Fondre shoots in.

Everett changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Le Fondre looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
You can see the frustration on Le Fondre's face as Everett controls the position.

Everett decides to stand back up. Everett steps back and let's Le Fondre get back to his feet.

Everett scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Everett is breathing heavily.
Everett trying to control the action but Le Fondre is working from the bottom.
Le Fondre is trying to control Everett's posture but Everett avoids it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Everett wants to control but Le Fondre is keeping him busy.
Le Fondre tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Everett wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Everett is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Le Fondre's shoulder. That is not cool.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Everett tries to move into full mount but can't pass Le Fondre's legs.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Le Fondre wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Everett is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Le Fondre's shoulder. That is not cool.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Pirate Everett.
Le Fondre has his takedown stuffed

and Everett counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Le Fondre's guard now.
Everett throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Everett pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Le Fondre is keeping the position for now.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Everett's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pirate Everett dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Everett shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Le Fondre is trying to defend but Everett finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Le Fondre wants to get back to full guard.
Le Fondre trying to control but Everett postures up.
Everett keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Everett gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Everett wants to clinch up but Le Fondre keeps it at a distance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Everett feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Le Fondre trying to keep a closed guard but Everett is proving a slippery customer.
Everett trying to control the position from guard on top but Le Fondre is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Le Fondre is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Le Fondre breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Everett with a poor takedown

and Le Fondre counters with a single leg into guard. Everett didn't expect that.
Pirate Everett overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Everett keeping moving, preventing Le Fondre from controlling successfully.

Everett looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Le Fondre has picked Everett up and slammed him! Everett can't keep hold of the triangle and Le Fondre manages to pass to side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Le Fondre tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Everett can't do much from the bottom here.
Le Fondre wants to lay and pray for a moment but Everett keeps working.

Le Fondre decides to stand back up. Le Fondre steps back and let's Everett get back to his feet.

Everett rushes Le Fondre and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Le Fondre wants a takedown but no success here.
Everett tries for a takedown. No joy.
Everett prevents the takedown attempt.
Everett goes for a takedown in the clinch but Le Fondre prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pirate Everett. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Le Fondre pulls guard successfully.
Le Fondre thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Everett stops Le Fondre from standing up.
Le Fondre looking to hit a scissor sweep but Everett is one step ahead there.
Le Fondre is trying to control the position but Everett postures up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Everett stops Le Fondre from standing up.
Le Fondre looking for a sweep. Not yet Le Fondre, not yet.

Le Fondre is looking for a triangle but Everett pushes his legs off easily.
Le Fondre manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Everett manages to get himself to full guard.

Le Fondre drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Everett dives on top into guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Adam Le Fondre will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!



Everett closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Le Fondre quickly recovers to half guard.
Le Fondre is trying to maintain the position but Everett is very close to passing his half guard.
Everett wants to lay and pray for a moment but Le Fondre keeps working.
Le Fondre wants to get back to full guard.
Everett tries to pass to full mount but Le Fondre defends it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Le Fondre looking for submissions off his back.
Le Fondre is trying to get back to full guard.
Everett is trying to control. Le Fondre wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Everett lands with a punch from half guard.

Le Fondre is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Everett pulls his head out easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Le Fondre looks like he's trying to stand up.

Everett takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Everett trying to mount his opponent but Le Fondre defends it.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Adam Le Fondre.
Everett moves in looking to clinch but Le Fondre pushes him off.
Le Fondre misses with a takedown attempt

and Everett counters with a shoot takedown. Le Fondre fights it but they end up in guard.
Le Fondre is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Everett stands and throws Le Fondre's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Le Fondre regains half guard.
Le Fondre throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Le Fondre gets full guard.

Le Fondre is trying to keep Everett in close.
Le Fondre pulls Everett in close to his closed guard and prevents Everett from doing any damage or advancing position.
Everett wants to get up but he can't break Le Fondre's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Le Fondre is looking to stand up but Everett isn't so interested in that idea.

Pirate Everett showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Everett has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
