Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hawk Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jefferson da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Price might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Behind Closed Doors - Rise Against. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hawk Price!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jefferson da Silva!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Price slaps away a takedown attempt from da Silva, before circling back to the center of the mat.
da Silva fails with the takedown.

da Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Price's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
da Silva is looking to work some ground and pound but Price has wrist control.

Price is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and da Silva defends well.
Price looking to hit a scissor sweep but da Silva is one step ahead there.
da Silva trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
da Silva with a nice head shot there.
Price seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
da Silva throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Price works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Price lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for da Silva!

That's one minute gone in the round.
da Silva working to try and regain half guard.

Price is going oldschool here, as he tries to force da Silva to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so da Silva shrugs it off.

Price is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. da Silva can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Price looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
da Silva is trying to escape the mount.
da Silva slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Price passes the guard and advances to mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Price is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and da Silva defends it well.

da Silva is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Price pulls his head out easily.

Price is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Price wants to work for an arm triangle but da Silva is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

da Silva has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Price escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Price!

Price wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by da Silva, who protects the arm well.
da Silva tries to buck Price off but Price is having none of it.

da Silva is letting Price control him for a moment.
da Silva is trying to work for a sweep but Price has mounted him!

Price wants to finish this one by submission but da Silva is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Price.
da Silva is wriggling around trying to escape.

Price working for a submission but da Silva is keeping him at bay.

Price jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but da Silva manages to avoid the submission attempt.
da Silva is working to avoid the ground and pound but Price connects with a decent elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hawk Price dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Price shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in da Silva's guard.

Price is sitting in close to da Silva's body. da Silva has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Price is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Price is tapping! That was a very nice submission by da Silva.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Jefferson da Silva!
