The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk moves into range and connects with a jab.

It looks like Yan da Silva has been cut.
Hawk keeps the fight on the outside.
Hawk displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from da Silva.
da Silva shoots in but Hawk avoids the takedown attempt easily.
da Silva throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hawk moves out of range as da Silva throws a body kick.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as da Silva accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Hawk has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but da Silva regains guard immediately.
