Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Franko Fernando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Foster has chosen Go To Sleep as his entrance music. Sean Foster looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foster misses with a series of wild punches.
Fernando wants to clinch up but Foster keeps it at a distance.
Fernando throws a nice looking combination but Foster bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Foster shoots in for a double leg but Fernando sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Foster throws a head kick that misses.

Foster fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fernando avoids it really well and circles away.
Foster tries for a takedown but Fernando sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Fernando is looking to clinch but Foster is avoiding it.
Fernando tries to score a power double leg takedown but Foster sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fernando somewhat.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Foster shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

so Fernando counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Fernando content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Foster wants to sweep here but Fernando controlling him for the moment.

Foster lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fernando!

Foster jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Fernando is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Fernando and Foster has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fernando accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Foster has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fernando can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Foster looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Fernando has picked Foster up and slammed him! Foster can't keep hold of the triangle and Fernando manages to pass to side control!

and Fernando counters with a nice double leg into side control. Foster won't be happy with that.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Foster ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Foster no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Foster working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fernando doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fernando manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Fernando takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Franko Fernando overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
