Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eli Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimbo Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks throws a hook but Slice avoids it easily.
Brooks throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Brooks dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Slice. That did some damage!

Brooks throws a shot from downtown. Slice moves away and avoids it.

Brooks throws a right and a left that Slice avoids nicely.
Brooks swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

Slice feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Slice wants to stand and escape but instead Brooks has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Slice really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brooks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Brooks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Brooks is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Slice is not content to let Brooks control the position.

Brooks shoots in looking for a takedown but Slice manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brooks's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Brooks throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Slice's waist but Slice gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brooks off to one side.

Slice closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Brooks did well to prevent Slice getting side control.
