Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cheetoh Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Captain Beefheart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ortiz might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Cheese Song. The crowd seem to be enjoying Beefheart's choice of entrance music: Yellow Snow. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beefheart takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Captain Beefheart has been cut.
Ortiz loads up on a big right hand but Beefheart slips the punch.

Ortiz rushes Beefheart and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ortiz is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Beefheart is defending well for now.

Ortiz fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Beefheart.

Beefheart moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Ortiz is looking for a kimura but Beefheart is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ortiz to get the leverage.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ortiz lands a nice short elbow.

The cut above Captain Beefheart's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Beefheart is bucking up trying to escape but Ortiz cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Captain Beefheart's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Captain Beefheart's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
