Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jezze vaughn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ewan Phelps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phelps fails with the takedown.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Phelps.

A head kick misses from Phelps.
vaughn uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Phelps.
vaughn throws a solid leg kick but Phelps takes the impact on his shin and smiles at vaughn.

Phelps clinches up with vaughn and pushes him back against the cage.

vaughn tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

vaughn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Phelps swivels though and keeps the full guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ewan Phelps hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Phelps tries to clinch but vaughn is having none of it.

vaughn jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Phelps walks away with a smile on his face. vaughn gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
vaughn throws a nice looking combination but Phelps bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Phelps walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

vaughn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Phelps on the ground.

Phelps is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Phelps sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed vaughn's guard.
vaughn is looking to escape.

Ewan Phelps showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jezze vaughn wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Phelps stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Jezze vaughn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Phelps tries to clinch up.
vaughn is looking to land body kicks.
vaughn throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Phelps moves out of range of the body kick.
Phelps shoots in but no luck this time.
vaughn slaps away a takedown attempt from Phelps, before circling back to the center of the mat.

vaughn fails in his attempt to clinch.
Phelps ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
vaughn not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Phelps wants to get back to his feet but vaughn passes into half guard.
vaughn is keen to just control but Phelps is a slippery customer.
vaughn passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Phelps!
vaughn tries to push Phelps's head away but Phelps is holding on tight.

vaughn stands up from mount. Strange move.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Ewan Phelps.
