Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Kopite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marius Mauler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mauler comes into a darkened arena with his song building. WAR then PEACE kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Marius Mauler has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kopite takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
An inside leg kick from Mauler misses.
Roberto Kopite seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kopite tries to bum rush Mauler with a series of wild strikes but Mauler uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kopite uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mauler.
Kopite throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kopite doesn't manage to clinch there - Mauler circles away.
Kopite finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Mauler throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kopite was covering up waiting for the punch and Mauler finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kopite really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kopite wants to stand and escape but instead Mauler has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

That was a close round but I would say that Roberto Kopite will probably get the nod.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mauler throwing shots but Kopite is blocking nicely.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Mauler closes the distance and clinches up with Kopite, looking for a takedown. Mauler pushes Kopite against the cage but Kopite circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Mauler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kopite swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mauler postures up in Kopite's guard and throws a big left but Kopite blocks it.
Kopite has his hands on Mauler's head, controlling the position.

Kopite is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kopite, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
