Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenneth McGoldstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gavin Heckingstall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Gavin Heckingstall!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGoldstein shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Heckingstall defends it nicely.

McGoldstein gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Heckingstall tries a knee to the head but McGoldstein blocks it.
Heckingstall has McGoldstein pressed against the cage, preventing McGoldstein from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Heckingstall tries for a takedown but McGoldstein manages to get underhooks.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
McGoldstein wants to stall.
McGoldstein goes for a takedown in the clinch but Heckingstall prevents it.
Heckingstall prevents the takedown attempt.

You get the feeling that Heckingstall really doesn't like being in this position too much.

McGoldstein shoots in and drives through. Heckingstall sprawls well.
Heckingstall tries to close the distance and clinch up but McGoldstein swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and McGoldstein counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
McGoldstein is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Heckingstall wants to improve his position but McGoldstein is controlling well.

Heckingstall might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control McGoldstein kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
McGoldstein looking to control and managing it successfully.
McGoldstein lands a big shot there that rocks Heckingstall but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
McGoldstein tries to control but Heckingstall wriggling away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Heckingstall slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Heckingstall is staying active underneath McGoldstein, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

McGoldstein seems to be working for a kimura but Heckingstall defends the submission attempt.
McGoldstein throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
McGoldstein wants to stand up but Heckingstall manages to regain full guard.

Heckingstall scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Heckingstall closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

McGoldstein gets tackled into the cage by Heckingstall. Heckingstall maintains the clinch.

McGoldstein has Heckingstall pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. McGoldstein pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Heckingstall tumbling to the mat - McGoldstein dives into Heckingstall's guard.
Heckingstall trying to keep a closed guard but McGoldstein is proving a slippery customer.

McGoldstein drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McGoldstein jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Heckingstall is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Heckingstall looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Heckingstall shoots in looking for a takedown but McGoldstein manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Heckingstall's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

McGoldstein shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Heckingstall's guard.
Heckingstall wants to hit a switch here but McGoldstein passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Heckingstall there!

McGoldstein moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Heckingstall has worked his arm free - good work by Heckingstall!

McGoldstein trying to control the action but Heckingstall is working from the bottom.
Kenneth McGoldstein overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Heckingstall has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McGoldstein is working away from the top position though.
Heckingstall is trying to get back to full guard.
Heckingstall is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
