Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Maxx Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and WIlle Waara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adams comes into the arena with Sharp Dressed Man blaring out of the sound system. Maxx Adams could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to WIlle Waara's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maxx Adams!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Adams throws a right and a left that Waara avoids nicely.

Waara closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Adams to the mat! Adams manages to get full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Adams holds on and takes a little breather.
Waara stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Adams swivels though and keeps the full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Waara accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Waara wants to control from the top but Adams keeps moving.
Waara is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Adams pulls Waara in close to prevent any damage.

Waara thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Adams wants to get back to his feet but Waara is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Waara swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Waara tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Adams swivels and escapes.
Adams misses with a series of wild punches.
Adams misses with a jab, cross combination.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Waara throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Adams's waist but Adams gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Waara off to one side.
Adams throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Waara.
Jab, jab by Adams - just one landing.

It looks like WIlle Waara has been cut.
Waara avoids a punch combination nicely.
Waara dodges the punch combination from Adams.
Waara fails in his attempt to clinch.
Adams jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A punch combination from Adams misses.
Adams lunges at Waara with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Waara's hand.

Waara changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Adams looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Waara has hold of Adams's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Adams tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Waara cranks the arm and Adams screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Adams, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). WIlle Waara!
