PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josh Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Agrippa Kohr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Agrippa Kohr was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Stevenson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Agrippa Kohr!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevenson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


It looks like Agrippa Kohr has been cut.
Kohr tries to clinch up but Stevenson circles away and keeps his distance.
Stevenson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.


It looks like Josh Stevenson has been cut.
Stevenson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Stevenson throws a series of punches but Kohr moves out of range.
Kohr fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sloppy strikes from Kohr. Those never looked like landing.
Kohr uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Stevenson.
Stevenson connects with a high kick.
Kohr tries to bum rush Stevenson with a series of wild strikes but Stevenson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Stevenson misses with a head kick.
Kohr throws a combination. Stevenson tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kohr tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stevenson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kohr throws a jab when Stevenson was well out of range.
Kohr fails in his attempt to clinch.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Kohr closes the distance and pushes Stevenson back into the cage.
Stevenson tries for a takedown. No joy.
Stevenson is working for takedown but Kohr is calmly controlling the position for now.
Kohr gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Stevenson.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Stevenson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Stevenson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Kohr closes the distance but Stevenson moves to the side
and Stevenson counters with a head kick. That will keep Kohr thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Good standup being displayed there by Kohr as he connects with a hook.

and Stevenson counters with a left and a right that stings Kohr.
Kohr lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Stevenson keeps the fight on the outside.
Stevenson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.


Josh Stevenson's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Kohr tries to close the distance and clinch but Stevenson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Stevenson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kohr tries to clinch up but Stevenson circles away and keeps his distance.

Kohr swings wildly with an uppercut but Stevenson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kohr lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Stevenson's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Kohr lands a left hand that snaps the head of Stevenson backwards.
Kohr pushes Stevenson back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
A nice left hand lands by Kohr.
Kohr tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Kohr makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.


Jeez, Josh Stevenson's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Kohr is looking to control Stevenson's arms but Stevenson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kohr has his back to the cage.

Kohr scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Kohr is pushing Stevenson up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Kohr lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Kohr lands with a short shot to the head.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Stevenson as Kohr tries to tie him up.
Kohr gets through Stevenson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Kohr's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Kohr throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Stevensons head.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Kohr takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Kohr is looking to control Stevenson's arms but Stevenson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kohr has his back to the cage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stevenson blocks an uppercut.
Kohr scores with a shot to the side of Stevenson's head.
Kohr lands with a light punch inside.
Kohr lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
A head punch on the inside from Kohr fails to land.
Stevenson blocks a punch to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Agrippa Kohr dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Stevenson tries to move into range but Kohr moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Josh Stevenson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Agrippa Kohr!
