Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between nat north (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and tony sinclair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that nat north has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily nat north seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

north clinches up against the cage.

north seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
sinclair takes a knee right on the jaw!
north gets through sinclair's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

north escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
north lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as sinclair backs up against the cage.
north attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
north tries to land knees in the clinch but sinclair avoids the damage to the body.

sinclair drops down looking for an ankle pick but north pulls his leg out and moves away.
north looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

sinclair drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

sinclair drops back looking for a leg! north is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and north manages to kick sinclair off! sinclair jumps back into north's guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
north is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

sinclair is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! north is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! north has escaped and now he's on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

sinclair throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! north escapes and throws sinclair's legs to the side, diving into side control!

north thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

sinclair shoots for a takedown but north saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

nat north has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of tony sinclair.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
