PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tifo Amsterdam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Konrad Pa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Amsterdam comes into the arena with Gas met die zooi blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pa shoots in and gets a takedown into Amsterdam's guard.
Amsterdam keeping moving, preventing Pa from controlling successfully.

Amsterdam manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Pa wants to control but Amsterdam is having none of it.

Pa closes this distance looking for a takedown but Amsterdam circles away.

Pa shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Amsterdam's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Pa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Amsterdam can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Pa closes the distance and clinches.
Pa tries to score a body lock takedown but Amsterdam shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Pa is pressed up against the cage. Amsterdam has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pa down to the mat. Pa avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Amsterdam tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pa tries to clinch up but Amsterdam circles away and keeps his distance.

and Amsterdam counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pa won't be happy with that.

Pa takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pa is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Amsterdam is staying active.

Amsterdam decides to stand back up. Amsterdam steps back and let's Pa get back to his feet.
Amsterdam will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Pa rushes Amsterdam and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Amsterdam enables Pa to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Amsterdam manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tifo Amsterdam.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Amsterdam, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
