The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dojo.
Dojo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gracie's waist but Gracie gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dojo off to one side.

Dojo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Dojo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Gracie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Gracie is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dojo sees it coming and defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
