Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zeus Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Markcus Sparkus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sparkus shoots in but no luck this time.
Markcus Sparkus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sparkus fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Machine avoids it really well and circles away.
Machine is looking to slow Sparkus down with leg kicks.
Machine misses with a double jab.
Machine chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Machine drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Machine controls the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Machine has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Sparkus avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Machine.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Machine has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Machine tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Machine has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Machine is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Sparkus's shoulder. That is not cool.
Sparkus tries to bench press Machine off him but Machine keeps the position.
The ground and pound from Machine seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Machine is looking to take a break and control but Sparkus is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Machine takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Machine wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sparkus keeps working.

Machine is taking a breather. Sparkus says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Machine connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

It looks like Markcus Sparkus has been cut.
Sparkus misses with a takedown attempt
and Machine cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sparkus is breathing heavily.
Sparkus gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Machine makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Machine lands with a slapping head kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Machine dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sparkus takes a kick to the side of the head.

Machine is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sparkus's half guard.

Machine is trying to control the action in half guard but Sparkus is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Machine has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Sparkus defend it? Machine steps over the head and cranks it - Sparkus is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Machine!
