PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lieutenant Rolfsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cornelius Sulla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cornelius Sulla told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sulla tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sulla throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rolfsson.
Sulla throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rolfsson fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rolfsson slips a jab and a cross from Sulla.
Rolfsson tries to clinch there but Sulla circles away.
Rolfsson tries to clinch but Sulla moves out of range.

Rolfsson instigates a clinch.
Sulla is trying to break the clinch but Rolfsson has him pressed against the cage.

Rolfsson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rolfsson is looking to clinch but Sulla is avoiding it.
Sulla lands with a kick to the temple. Rolfsson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Lieutenant Rolfsson has been cut.
Cornelius Sulla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rolfsson misses with a series of wild punches.
Rolfsson tries to clinch up.
Sulla misses with a body kick.
Rolfsson avoids the head kick by Sulla.

Rolfsson takes the fight into the clinch.
Rolfsson wants a takedown but no success here.
Sulla misses with a knee to the head.

Rolfsson pulls Sulla into guard.
Rolfsson looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Rolfsson is looking for a triangle but Sulla pushes his legs off easily.

Sulla wants to stand but Rolfsson is controlling his posture from full guard.
Sulla looks gassed!
Rolfsson wants to sweep but no luck.
Rolfsson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Rolfsson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sulla is looking to escape.
Rolfsson lands with some strikes.

Rolfsson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Rolfsson lands a big shot there that rocks Sulla but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Sulla is still in real trouble! Can Rolfsson finish him?

Rolfsson swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
