Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlitos Riquelme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mizuro Goenji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlitos Riquelme has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riquelme tries to clinch but Goenji moves out of range.

Goenji closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Riquelme quickly recovers to half guard.

Goenji thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Goenji is looking to work some ground and pound but Riquelme has wrist control.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Goenji lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Riquelme down.

Riquelme is breathing heavily.

Goenji is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Riquelme is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Riquelme is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Goenji asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Goenji has an Americana. Riquelme didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Goenji is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Goenji hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
