Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Simo Silmu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joao Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silmu comes to the cage accompanied by Nicole - Maalaudun. Costa has chosen The Coasters - Down In Mexico as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silmu lands a nice shot to the body.
Costa chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Silmu can pounce on him.
Silmu throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Costa stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Silmu follows into mount!

Costa is rocked!
Silmu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Costa on the ground.
Costa tries to reverse the position but Silmu maintains control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Costa fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silmu sprawls well initially but Costa persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Silmu is defending against the submission attempts here by Costa.
