Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Abdul Salsalani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Abdul Salsalani has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abdul Salsalani!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marc joe!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Salsalani tries to sprawl but joe drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with joe in particular looking to stall.
joe is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Salsalani knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for joe on the ground.
joe thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

joe goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Salsalani turns into him and now he's in joe's guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as joe holds on and takes a little breather.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Salsalani postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
joe is trying to control the position but Salsalani postures up.
Salsalani trying to control the position from guard on top but joe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Salsalani misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Salsalani has his takedown stuffed

and joe decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Salsalani's guard.
Salsalani looking for a sweep. Not yet Salsalani, not yet.
Salsalani really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
joe with a flurry of punches that miss.

joe has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Salsalani is proving hard to escape from.
joe pushing down on Salsalani's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

joe stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Salsalani is breathing heavily.
joe throws a head kick that misses
and Salsalani counters with a three punch combo that has joe backing up. joe nods at Salsalani to acknowledge the strikes.
joe throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

joe closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
joe is taking a breather. Salsalani says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
joe wants to stand up but Salsalani has a hold of him and won't allow it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

joe decides to return to a standing position.

Salsalani tries to sprawl but joe drives through with a takedown into half guard.
joe tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Salsalani.
joe slows the pace down in half guard.
joe tries to pass to full mount but Salsalani defends it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
joe keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
joe moves nicely into side control.
joe controls the position from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marc joe dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



joe shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Salsalani's guard.

joe takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
joe frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
joe takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
joe breaks from Salsalani's wrist control and lands an elbow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
joe can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Salsalani is looking to escape.
joe looking to control and managing it successfully.

joe dominating with strikes here.
joe controlling the pace for now.
Salsalani holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as joe tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

joe stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

joe misses with a wild combination.
Salsalani showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from joe.

Salsalani tries to sprawl but joe drives through with a takedown into half guard.

joe moves nicely into side control.
joe passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Salsalani!
joe takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marc joe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

joe looking to isolate an arm here. Salsalani doesn't see it coming and as joe extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by joe!
