Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Roddick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hendrix Villareiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roddick's entrance music is In the Air Tonight by Phil Collins. A fine choice. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roddick dives in and grabs Villareiz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Villareiz pushes down on Roddick's head and hops out.
Roddick shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Villareiz manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Roddick has Villareiz up against the cage in a clinch.
Roddick is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Villareiz can't fight it off and eventually Roddick manages to take the fight to the floor. Villareiz looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Villareiz is looking to break free of the clinch but Roddick has double underhooks.
Roddick has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Villareiz is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Roddick shoots in for a takedown but Villareiz shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Roddick tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Villareiz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Villareiz cracks Roddick with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Villareiz lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Roddick at a distance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Villareiz moves into range and clinches up with Roddick.

Villareiz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Villareiz lands a jab to the head.
Villareiz lands a big head kick that sends Roddick tumbling to the mat! Villareiz takes a step backwards and waves Roddick back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Roddick is rocked!
It looks like Cain Roddick has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Villareiz seems to be stalking Roddick here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Roddick drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Hendrix Villareiz!
