Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kondou slips under a jab.
Kondou tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lewis swats him away and circles back towards the center.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lewis is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Kondou had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Lewis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kondou manages to avoid it.
Kondou tries to clinch up but Lewis circles away and keeps his distance.

Kondou is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Kondou will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Kondou moves in looking to clinch but Lewis pushes him off.
Kondou closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
