Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ken Maxwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renzo Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Gracie's choice of entrance music: Eminem- Not Afraid. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ken Maxwell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Renzo Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Maxwell defends it nicely.
Maxwell looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gracie fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Gracie tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Maxwell swivels and escapes.
Ken Maxwell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Renzo Gracie.
Maxwell throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Renzo Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gracie throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Maxwell tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gracie is in Maxwell's guard.

Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Maxwell looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Maxwell throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Maxwell escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gracie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Maxwell is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gracie is aware though and is defending well.

Maxwell is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Gracie passes Maxwell's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Gracie moves into full mount! Maxwell won't be happy about that!

Gracie has hold of Maxwell's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Maxwell manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Maxwell is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Gracie wants to finish this one by submission but Maxwell is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Gracie.

Maxwell is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Maxwell is breathing heavily.

Gracie is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Maxwell can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Maxwell tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Gracie swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Maxwell is now in Gracie's guard. A big mistake from Gracie there, giving up the dominant position!

Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Maxwell is aware though and is defending well.

Gracie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Maxwell defends well.
Gracie wants to sweep but no luck.

Maxwell drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Maxwell jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Maxwell trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom.
Maxwell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Maxwell can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gracie has his foot on Maxwell's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Maxwell works his way back into a safe position though.
Maxwell slips nicely into half guard.

Maxwell is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Gracie won't allow Maxwell to pass to mount.
Gracie trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Maxwell manages to pass to mount!
Gracie is wriggling around trying to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maxwell tries to control but Gracie wriggling away.
Gracie sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Maxwell is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Gracie has managed to free his arm - good work.

Maxwell seems to be working for a kimura but Gracie defends the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Renzo Gracie dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Gracie tries to score a power double leg takedown but Maxwell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gracie somewhat.
Maxwell misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gracie was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Maxwell really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Gracie has control of Maxwell's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Maxwell regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Gracie has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Maxwell is forced to tap!
