Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Francis Okocha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Pe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Francis Okocha has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Francis Okocha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Charlie Pe!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Okocha bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Pe managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Okocha.
Pe is not content to let Okocha control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Okocha controlling the position from side mount.
Pe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Okocha. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Okocha stands up and we're back to a striking position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pe throws a nice looking combination but Okocha bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Pe keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pe fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pe should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
No joy there for Pe, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
No luck for Okocha with that takedown attempt.

Okocha scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Pe wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Pe taking a bit of punishment here - Okocha scoring with strikes.
Pe looks gassed!

Okocha thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Pe wants to get back to his feet.

Okocha trying to control the action but Pe is working from the bottom.
Okocha scores with punches from side control.
Okocha lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Pe down.
Okocha lands a decent elbow from side control.

Okocha stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Nice sprawl there from Pe as Okocha shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Francis Okocha. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pe misses with a double jab.

Okocha scores with a takedown into Pe's guard.
Okocha has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Okocha stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pe swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pe has momentary wrist control but Okocha slips an elbow through the middle.
Okocha stays in close to Pe's body and controls the position.

Okocha decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Pe, up you get!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Okocha.
Pe stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pe wants it to stay on the feet.

Pe has closed the distance and engaged Okocha in a clinch.

Okocha pulls guard successfully.
Okocha will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Pe is looking to stand up but Okocha won't let him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Okocha pushes Pe off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Pe misses with the combination.
Okocha changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pe tries to avoid it but Okocha manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pe to the ground. Pe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pe doesn't manage to clinch there - Okocha circles away.
Pe slaps away a takedown attempt from Okocha, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A jab from Pe does it's job there.
Pe misses with a few strikes there.
Pe tries to bum rush Okocha with a series of wild strikes but Okocha uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A punch combination from Pe misses.
Okocha looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pe is fending him off so far but Okocha persists. Nope, Pe circles away and we're back to standing.
Okocha really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pe showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Okocha.
Okocha takes a shot right to the bread basket.
No joy there for Pe, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Okocha closes the distance and clinches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Francis Okocha dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Pe tries to sprawl but Okocha drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Okocha looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Okocha looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Okocha is trying to control. Pe wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Okocha controlling the action here.
Okocha wants to control but Pe is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Okocha escapes and gets back to his feet.
Pe scores with a nice right hand.
Pe tries to clinch up

and Okocha counters with a takedown into side control.

Okocha is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pe has escaped the position, nice work there.

Okocha is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pe is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Pe takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Okocha working the ground and pound.
Pe on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Pe is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Okocha is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Okocha in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Pe is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
