Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Santa Clause (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dedo Tarasov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tarasov has chosen Ice Cube-Today Was A Good Day as his entrance music. Dedo Tarasov told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clause scores with a three punch combo!
Clause fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Tarasov scores a takedown into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Clause is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Tarasov jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Clause manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Tarasov works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

It looks like Santa Clause has been cut.

Tarasov throws an elbow but Clause slips to the side and avoids it well.

Tarasov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Clause's waist but Clause gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tarasov off to one side.

Santa Clause has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dedo Tarasov.
Tarasov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Clause as he jumps to the side.
Tarasov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Clause pinned against the cage. Clause gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tarasov looks gassed!
Tarasov looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Tarasov has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Tarasov there as he acknowledges the shot.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Clause.

and Clause counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Tarasov trying to control from half guard but Clause is working away.
Tarasov seems to be working for a kimura but Clause defends the submission attempt.
Tarasov lands with a punch from half guard.

Tarasov misses with a head shot. Clause uses the momentum to regain guard.
Tarasov working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Tarasov has gone for a leg lock! Clause slips out almost immediately though and dives into Tarasov's guard.
Tarasov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Clause gets to his feet. Tarasov looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Clause lands with a slapping head kick.
Clause moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Tarasov tries to move into range but Clause moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Clause misses with a few strikes there.
Clause forces Tarasov back against the cage and clinches.
Clause lands an elbow inside.
Clause gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Tarasov is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Clause pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Clause lands an elbow inside that Tarasov shrugs off.
Clause throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Clause lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Clause gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Clause blocks the strikes from Tarasov.
Clause is just content to waste time from the top position. Tarasov takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Clause won't allow Tarasov to sweep him here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tarasov is on top in guard.
Tarasov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Tarasov takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Horrible takedown by Tarasov or perhaps it was just good defense by Clause which made him look bad.

Clause manages to break the clinch.
Clause lands a jab to Tarasov's midsection.
Clause will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Clause lands with a nice combination. Tarasov backs away looking to recover.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Clause bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Tarasov sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Tarasov moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Tarasov is looking for a kimura but Clause is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tarasov to get the leverage.
Clause is looking to escape.
Tarasov works his foot free and advances to mount.

Tarasov lands a nice shot to the head.
Jeez, Santa Clause's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Santa Clause's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
