PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Os Mutantes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gui Saint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mutantes comes to the cage accompanied by El Justiciero. Saint has chosen The Haunted - 99 as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mutantes throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Mutantes tries for a takedown but Saint sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Mutantes shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Saint stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Saint wants it to stay on the feet.

Mutantes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Saint sprawls well. Saint wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mutantes gets slowly back to his feet.
Saint leaves Mutantes with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Saint changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mutantes looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Saint got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mutantes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Saint has managed to get both his arms back between Mutantes's legs - danger averted.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mutantes is on top in guard.
Mutantes tries to free his leg and advance position but Saint is retaining full guard.

Mutantes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Saint swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mutantes wants to control from the top but Saint keeps moving.

Saint pushes Mutantes off and scrambles back to his feet.

Mutantes bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Saint tries to escape but Mutantes is in control.
Mutantes laying and praying for a moment but Saint takes advantage and regains half guard.
Mutantes tries to pass the half guard into mount. Saint knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Saint looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mutantes with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Saint takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Saint controlling the pace.
Saint stops Mutantes from getting back to his feet.

Gui Saint showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Mutantes's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Os Mutantes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saint throws out a loose jab but Mutantes uses good head movement to avoid it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Saint connects with a nice short shot to Mutantes's temple.

Well Saint has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
