Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Zenon Garbaty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Rubini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zenon Garbaty has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Zenon Garbaty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, King Rubini!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Garbaty blocks the leg kick.

Garbaty feints and as Rubini raises his hands in defense, Garbaty changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rubini wants to stand but Garbaty is controlling the position.

Garbaty drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rubini manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Garbaty has Rubini in his guard.
Garbaty is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Rubini has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Garbaty is proving hard to escape from.

Garbaty is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Garbaty closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rubini circles away.

Garbaty throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rubini tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Garbaty is in Rubini's guard.

A close round but King Rubini will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

It looks like Zenon Garbaty has been cut.
Rubini tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Garbaty manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Rubini feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Garbatys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Garbaty is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rubini defends it well.
Zenon Garbaty overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Rubini pushes Garbaty off looking to stand but Garbaty dives back in and keeps control.

Garbaty is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rubini is just riding it out for now. Garbaty eventually gives up the hold.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

King Rubini showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Rubini decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Garbaty wants to get back to full guard.
Rubini takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Garbaty is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rubini has managed to free his arm - good work.

Rubini manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Garbaty shoots for a double leg takedown but Rubini sprawls well. He's pushed Garbaty's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Garbaty closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Rubini is trying to stand up here but Garbaty is controlling him well.

Zenon Garbaty has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Zenon Garbaty.
I think Rubini has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
