PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cung Liouz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Mackie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liouz is looking to clinch.
Liouz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mackie avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Mackie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Liouz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Mackie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mackie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mackie has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Liouz is proving hard to escape from.
Liouz lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Mackie!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mackie bucks up and throws Liouz to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Liouz cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That was a close second round but I would say that Cung Liouz will probably get the nod.

I think Mackie has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
