Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Simon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heath Wall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Simon Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Heath Wall!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wall throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Jones throws a head kick that Wall semi-blocks.
Wall throws a right and a left that Jones avoids nicely.
Wall throws a hook but Jones avoids it easily.
Jones uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wall.
A head kick by Wall misses
and Jones counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Jones circles away from the clinch attempt
enabling Jones to counter with a crisp jab.
Jones slips under a jab from Wall.
Wall lands a right hook to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

A short body shot lands from Wall as the two fighters clinch.
Wall tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jones just stands there and leans against the cage.

Wall is pushing Jones up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Jones misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Wall.
Wall jumps guard but Jones stands there with Wall around his waist. Wall gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jones struggles to land a body shot inside as Wall controls his hands.
The referee calls for Wall to work.

Wall breaks from the clinch.
Wall smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Wall misses with a leg kick
and Jones counters with a slapping leg kick.
Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wall tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jones moves away from the strike by Wall.
Wall wants to clinch but Jones slips to the side

and Jones counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Wall!
Wall wants to hold on but Jones pushes him away.

Jones trying to control but Wall is having none of it.

Jones looking to control but Wall is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Jones tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Wall is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Wall tries to reverse the position but Jones maintains control.
Jones looking to control and managing it successfully.
Wall is squirming around, avoiding Jones's attempts to control the action.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Jones is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Wall is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Wall is looking to improve his position but Jones isn't that keen on the idea.

That was a close round but I would say that Simon Jones will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wall is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Wall stalks Jones and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jones's face. Jones staggers backwards, shaken.
