Trevor Condit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gschwend is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Condit to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Condit shrugs it off.

Gschwend is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Condit has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You get the feeling that Condit really doesn't like being in this position too much.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ruedi Gschwend dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Gschwend shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Condit pinned against the cage. Condit gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gschwend has an Americana. Condit didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Gschwend is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gschwend hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
