The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Everett shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Everett was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Everett landing strikes, looking to finish!
Everett could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Scholes looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Scholes wants to escape the position.
Everett misses with a punch to the head.
Scholes tries to escape but Everett has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Everett lands punches and elbows.
Scholes rolls, trying to escape but Everett keeps control of the position.

Everett is persistently looking for the submission but Scholes is defending it well.
Scholes can't escape the position.
Scholes manages to reverse the position and now he's in Everett's guard. Nice work there by Scholes.

Scholes has gone for a leg lock! Everett slips out almost immediately though and dives into Scholes's guard.

Scholes has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Everett should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Scholes has tightened it up now! Everett should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
