The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hartmanis is looking to clinch.
Ruent pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Ruent is pushing down on Hartmanis's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hartmanis is fighting to maintain full guard but Ruent has managed to sneak the leg through.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ruent scoring with strikes but Hartmanis is staying in there.
Ruent prevents Hartmanis from getting the reversal.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hartmanis lands a head kick. Ruent smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Ruent stuns Hartmanis with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Ruent lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hartmanis at a distance.
Hartmanis throws a low kick but Ruent avoids it.
Hartmanis takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ruent tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hartmanis was well out of range. Poor timing from Ruent.
Ruent lands a brutal head kick. Hartmanis looks out on his feet and Ruent throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
