The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edgar wants to clinch.
Hughes throws a right and a left that both miss.

Hughes takes the fight into the clinch.
Edgar could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
A shot in the inside from Hughes.
Hughes scores with a nice hook to the head.
Edgar lands a knee to the head.
Edgar throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Hughes blocks it with crossed arms.

Hughes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Hughes counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Edgar is rocked!

Hughes decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Edgar takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Oh Edgar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hughes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hughes connects with a nice cross there... Edgar is looking wobbly and Hughes recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Edgar to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Hughes jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
