Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Windham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tetsuo Chiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aaron Windham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tetsuo Chiba!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Windham is trying hard to land a takedown here. Chiba sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Windham uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Chiba.
Windham tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Chiba swivels and escapes.
Chiba throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Windham sees it coming and avoids it easily.

It looks like Aaron Windham has been cut.
Windham will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Windham closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Windham moves nicely into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Windham tries to advance to mount but Chiba denies him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chiba wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Windham advances to mount.

Windham has hold of Chiba's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Chiba manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Chiba is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Chiba takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Windham has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Chiba's face.
Windham tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Windham's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Chiba is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Windham.

Windham connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Chiba to escape the position.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Windham controlling the positon.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Windham lands with a hammerfist to the side of Chiba's head.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Chiba slaps away a takedown attempt from Windham, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Chiba lands a nice looking body shot.
Windham walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Chiba thows a left - swing and a miss!
Chiba looks to land a right hand but Windham moved out of range.
Chiba swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Windham moves out of range as Chiba strikes.
Windham ducks under a wild hook from Chiba.

Chiba drops Windham with a beautiful combination! Windham stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Chiba is looking for the KO!

Windham fails with a takedown attempt.
Chiba changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Windham.

Windham shoots in looking for a takedown. Chiba tries to sprawl out of it but Windham keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Chiba manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tetsuo Chiba seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Chiba moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.


Aaron Windham's cut is getting worse.

Chiba cracks Windham with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Chiba has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Windham to stand back up!

Windham is trying hard to land a takedown here. Chiba sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Chiba uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Jeez, Aaron Windham's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

Windham closes the distance and clinches up with Chiba, looking for a takedown. Windham pushes Chiba against the cage but Chiba circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Chiba jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Chiba stuffs the takedown.
Windham fails with the takedown.
Chiba avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Chiba throws a hook but Windham avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tetsuo Chiba showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Windham changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chiba tries to avoid it but Windham manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chiba to the ground. Chiba escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Windham is defended easily by Chiba.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chiba might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Tetsuo Chiba is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Chiba throws a jab but it's blocked by Windham.
Windham shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chiba as he jumps to the side.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
A slow jab from Chiba misses its intended target.
Chiba connects with a body shot.
Windham fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Windham shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Chiba as he avoids it easily.
Chiba missing with a left hand there. Windham was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Chiba misses the jab.
Chiba throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Chiba cracks Windham with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Windham looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Chiba finish him?
Oh Windham is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Aaron Windham's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Tetsuo Chiba!
