Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hiroishi Strichi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pepe Negrete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Strichi kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Pegasus Fantasy. The key to victory for Hiroishi Strichi has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strichi fails to land with a series of punches.

Negrete tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Strichi paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Negrete shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Strichi manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Negrete accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Negrete stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Strichi swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Negrete drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Negrete jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Negrete has control of Strichi's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Strichi regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Negrete takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Negrete looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Strichi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
