PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aiden White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perry's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Lützenkirchen - Leer aber Techno. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Perry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aiden White!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry shoots in for a double leg but White sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
White throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Nice sprawl there from White as Perry shoots in.
White throws a wild body kick that Perry sees coming a mile off.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Perry.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fred Perry. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Perry tries to score a power double leg takedown but White sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Perry somewhat.
Perry is breathing heavily.

White shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Perry as he jumps to the side.

White tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Perry manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Sloppy strikes from White. Those never looked like landing.

White connects with a right hand. Perry shakes it off.
Perry will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
White throws a one two combo.
White fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
White throws a series of punches but Perry avoids them all with ease.
White throws a body punch but Perry moves out of range.
Perry shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. White defends it nicely.
White throws a right and a left that Perry avoids nicely.

White gets caught flat footed, as Perry shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

White lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Perry!

Perry is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. White can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

White got a little sloppy there for a moment and Perry has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, White has managed to get both his arms back between Perry's legs - danger averted.

White really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Perry. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

That was a close second round but I would say that Fred Perry will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

White is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
White lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

I would just about give that final round to Aiden White.
