The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Apae defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Headhunter.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Headhunter.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Headhunter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Headhunter shoots in for a takedown but Apae shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Headhunter shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Apae defends it nicely.

Headhunter feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Apae uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Apae keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Apae connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Apae cracks Headhunter with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Apae has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Headhunter to stand back up!
