Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Berry Aneurysm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kris Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Berry Aneurysm had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Berry Aneurysm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kris Burns!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aneurysm avoids the body shot from Burns.

Burns rushes Aneurysm and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Aneurysm tries for a takedown but Burns manages to get underhooks.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Burns.
Aneurysm wants to break the clinch but can't.

Burns pulls guard effortlessly.

Aneurysm stands up and waves to Burns to follow him.
A nice leg kick lands there from Aneurysm.
Burns fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Aneurysm avoids it really well and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Burns looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Burns looks gassed!
Burns takes a kick to the side of the head.
Burns on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Kris Burns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aneurysm looks to land a combination but Burns avoids it well.
Aneurysm feints and then cracks Burns's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Burns down.
Aneurysm throws a front kick that sends Burns stumbling back into the cage.

Burns throws a leg kick
and Aneurysm counters with a head kick. That will keep Burns thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Aneurysm lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Aneurysm scores with a spinning back kick!
Aneurysm throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Aneurysm scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Burns has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Aneurysm.
Aneurysm moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Burns takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Aneurysm scoring well with a low kick there.
Burns takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Aneurysm lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Aneurysm.
Aneurysm feints and then cracks Burns's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Burns down.
Aneurysm moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Burns tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Aneurysm swivels and escapes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Burns takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Aneurysm swats away the attempt to clinch by Burns.
Aneurysm connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Burns momentarily.
Burns tries for a takedown but Aneurysm circles away easily
and Aneurysm counters with a stiff right hand.
Berry Aneurysm has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kris Burns.
Aneurysm shoots in looking for a takedown. Burns tries to sprawl out of it but Aneurysm keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Burns manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Burns fails to land the takedown.

Burns fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Aneurysm sprawls well initially but Burns persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Aneurysm is not content to let Burns control the position.

Aneurysm is concentrating on defense, preventing Burns from advancing position.
Well, if Burns is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Aneurysm wants to get back to full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Burns is figuring out what he wants to do next.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kris Burns was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Burns fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Aneurysm, pushing him back against the cage.

Burns decides to pull guard.
Burns has his hands on Aneurysm's head, controlling the position.
Aneurysm knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Burns on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Aneurysm trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Berry Aneurysm dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Aneurysm avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Aneurysm throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Burns avoids a punch combination nicely.
Aneurysm lands a front kick.
Burns misses with a combination
and Aneurysm counters with a two punch combo.
Burns takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Burns shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Burns with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Burns has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Burns content just to control the position here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Burns's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kris Burns.
Burns shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Burns shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aneurysm controls Burns momentarily but Burns frees himself.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Burns trying to control the position from guard on top but Aneurysm is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Burns content to stall in guard here.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Aneurysm looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kris Burns showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Aneurysm's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Aneurysm stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Aneurysm wants it to stay on the feet.
Aneurysm misses with a few strikes there.
Aneurysm throws a right hand that Burns ducks under and follows up with a left that Burns also avoids with ease.
Aneurysm dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Burns fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Aneurysm avoids it really well and circles away.
A head kick from Aneurysm lands but Burns takes it in his stride.
Aneurysm closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Aneurysm throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burns closes the distance and clinches up with Aneurysm, looking for a takedown. Burns pushes Aneurysm against the cage but Aneurysm circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Berry Aneurysm has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kris Burns.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Aneurysm lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Burns misses with a double jab
and Aneurysm counters with a one-two to the body.

Burns stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Aneurysm.
Burns fails with an attempt to clinch.

Burns closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Aneurysm to the mat! Aneurysm manages to get full guard.
Burns trying to stand up but can't free himself from Aneurysm's guard.
Burns looking to sit in guard and control but Aneurysm gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Burns seems keen to control Aneurysm's posture.
Aneurysm could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Aneurysm trying to control but Burns is working from the bottom.

Burns had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Aneurysm defends it easily.
Aneurysm seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Burns is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Burns is trying to keep Aneurysm in close.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Burns looking for a guillotine here but Aneurysm defends easily.
Burns seems keen to control Aneurysm's posture.
Burns trying to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Burns throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Burns has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Aneurysm can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Aneurysm wants to control from the top but Burns keeps moving.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kris Burns comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Burns has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
