The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Carter throws a quick inside leg kick.
Eggson just misses with a punch to the body.
Carter throws a head kick that misses.
Carter throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Carter stuffs the takedown.
Eggson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carter swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Carter forces Eggson back against the cage and clinches.
Carter creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Eggson's defenses.

It looks like Carl Eggson has been cut.
Carter lands an elbow just above Eggson 's eye.
Eggson is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Carter unloads a knee to the mid-section. Eggson lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Carter landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Carter has Eggson pushed against the cage.
Carter lands an elbow inside that Eggson shrugs off.

Carl Eggson's cut is getting worse.
Carter is pushing Eggson up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Kevin Carter.
Eggson shoots in for a double leg but Carter sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kevin Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Carter.
Eggson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Carter connects with an inside leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Carter lands a brutal head kick. Eggson looks out on his feet and Carter throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
