Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brick Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Brick Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, David Stone!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Atkins and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stone gets the takedown into side control.
Wilson avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Stone.
Wilson tries to bench press Stone off him but Stone keeps the position.
Wilson tries to escape but Stone is in control.
You can see the frustration on Wilson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Wilson wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Stone wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wilson keeps working.
Wilson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Wilson looks like he's trying to stand up.

Stone decides to stand and escape the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wilson lands a nice leg kick that just misses Stone's sensitive parts.
Stone looks gassed!
Wilson throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Stone.

Stone closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Wilson quickly recovers to half guard.
Wilson is trying to control but can't.
Stone prevents Wilson from improving his position.

Wilson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Stone pulls his head out easily.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Stone lands a nice short elbow.
Stone is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Wilson is looking to improve his position.
Stone is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Stone trying to mount his opponent but Wilson defends it.

Wilson looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Wilson trying to control but Stone postures up.
Wilson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Stone is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Stone content to control rather than advance.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A head kick from Wilson lands but Stone takes it in his stride.
Nice sprawl there from Wilson as Stone shoots in.
Brick Wilson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wilson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Stone will feel that in the morning.
Wilson throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Stone's head.
Wilson lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Wilson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Stone counters with a shoot takedown. Wilson fights it but they end up in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wilson is looking to stand up but Stone isn't so interested in that idea.

Stone wants to pass the guard but Wilson is keeping the position.
Wilson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Wilson is looking for a triangle but Stone pushes his legs off easily.

Stone stands and steps away. Wilson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Stone dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Stone takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Stone closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wilson did well to prevent Stone getting side control.
Stone looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wilson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wilson pushes Stone off looking to stand but Stone dives back in and keeps control.
Still in half guard, Stone seems content to control.
Wilson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Wilson manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Stone shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Wilson is trying to defend but Stone finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Stone looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Stone is just content to waste time from the top position. Wilson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Wilson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Wilson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Wilson controls Stone momentarily but Stone frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stone trying to control the position from guard on top but Wilson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Wilson wants to stand up but Stone is controlling him.

and Stone counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Wilson pushes Stone off looking to stand but Stone dives back in and keeps control.
Stone wants to pass to mount but Wilson is defending the position.
Wilson is trying to stand up here but Stone is controlling him well.

Stone lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Stone seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Wilson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stone is working away from the top position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Brick Wilson has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Stone shoots in for a takedown but Wilson shows good takedown defense.
Wilson fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Wilson throws a head kick but Stone moves out of range.
Stone takes a kick to the side of the head.
Wilson tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Stone counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wilson won't be happy with that.
Wilson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wilson is trying to control but can't.
Wilson is looking for a sweep. Stone is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Stone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Excellent takedown into side control there by Stone.
Stone wants to stand but Wilson is controlling his arm.
Wilson tries to buck Stone off but Stone is having none of it.
Wilson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Stone is holding on to half guard well.

Wilson lands with a slapping head kick.
Stone takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Wilson lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Wilson lands with a straight right. Stone didn't see that one coming.
Stone circles away from the clinch attempt.

Wilson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Stone shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wilson's guard.

Wilson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Stone slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Wilson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stone is one step ahead there.
Wilson trying to keep a closed guard but Stone is proving a slippery customer.

Wilson is looking to control Stone's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wilson avoid being mounted?
Stone wants to stand but Wilson has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Stone decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Wilson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Stone to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Wilson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Stone controls the pace.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. David Stone wasn't active enough on the ground.

Stone fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wilson sprawls well initially but Stone persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Stone winds up and cracks Wilson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Stone takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
David Stone is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
