The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Anderson fails with a takedown attempt.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Takumi Gunma has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Anderson.

Anderson moves into the clinch successfully.
Anderson wants to break free but Gunma has control.
Gunma gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Anderson.
Anderson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gunma just stands there and leans against the cage.

Gunma pulls guard effortlessly.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Anderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Gunma is retaining full guard.
Gunma pulls Anderson in close to his closed guard and prevents Anderson from doing any damage or advancing position.
Anderson stopping the sweep attempt from Gunma.

Anderson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Gunma holds on and takes a little breather.

Gunma has his foot on Anderson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Anderson works his way back into a safe position though.
Gunma pulls Anderson in close to prevent any damage.
Anderson wants to control from the top but Gunma keeps moving.

Anderson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Anderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gunma swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Anderson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gunma swivels and escapes.
Anderson looks gassed!
Anderson shoots in but Gunma avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Gunma bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Gunma has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Anderson is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Gunma yanks on the arm and Anderson is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Gunma.
