The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smidt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jordan Jr paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jordan Jr lands a nice shot to the body.
A jab from Jordan Jr finds it's way through Smidt's defenses.
Jordan Jr thows a body shot but no joy.
Jordan Jr misses with a straight right.
Smidt takes one to the chin there.
A punch lands to the side of Smidt 's head but he takes it in his stride.

It looks like Eric Smidt has been cut.
Jordan Jr lands with a nice body punch.
Smidt takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Smidt takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Smidt on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Smidt tries to close the distance and clinch but Jordan Jr swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Smidt takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Jordan Jr scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jordan Jr. Smidt does a little dance to reset his feet.

Jordan Jr scores with a jab to the head.
Smidt tries to clinch up.
Jordan Jr connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Smidt momentarily.

Smidt is rocked!
Jordan Jr throws an uppercut from hell that sends Smidt clean off his feet! He's out cold! Jordan Jr stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
