PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Boleslaw Smialy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Daley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Smialy might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Vandals by Dirtyphonics. Paul Daley told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Daley!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daley misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Smialy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Daley.
Daley closes the distance and clinches up with Smialy, looking for a takedown. Daley pushes Smialy against the cage but Smialy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Boleslaw Smialy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Daley.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Smialy is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Daley to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Daley shrugs it off.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
