The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mack looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Penn!
Mack cracks Penn with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Penn tries to buck Mack off but he can't manage it.
Mack throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Mack has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Mack working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Penn turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Mack off and cradles Penn's limp body as Mack celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Dane Mack!
