The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saint with a jab.
Saint checks a leg kick.
Saint checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Saint throws an overhand right that lands on Takahara's shoulder, as Takahara tries to avoid the shot.

Takahara moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Saint throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Takahara cracks the inside of Saint's front leg.
Saint is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Saint takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

It looks like American Saint has been cut.
Takahara tries to land a leg kick but Saint saw it coming and moves away.

Takahara tries to land a front kick but Saint steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Saint throws a shot to the body.
A bone on bone clash there as Saint blocks the leg kick.

Takahara misses with a hook. Saint ducked under it nicely.
Saint looks to score with a jab to the body but Takahara is just out of range.
Saint moves out of range as Takahara throws a body kick.
Takahara avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Takahara walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Takahara takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Saint loads up on a big right hand but Takahara slips the punch.
Saint takes a swing at Takahara's ribcage but misses.
Takahara pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Takahara is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Takahara tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Saint was well out of range. Poor timing from Takahara.
Takahara fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Saint is out of range.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Takahara misses with a looping right.
Takahara takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Takahara tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

and Takahara counters with a low kick, right behind Saint 's knee.
Saint throws out a loose jab but Takahara uses good head movement to avoid it.
Saint fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Takahara looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Takahara uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Saint.
Takahara drops his hands for a split second and Saint immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Takahara face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Saint follows up with a right hand that knocks Takahara into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). American Saint!
