Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mizuro Goenji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wyatt Zwerschke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wyatt Zwerschke will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mizuro Goenji!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wyatt Zwerschke!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Fujiwara and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goenji lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Zwerschke circles away quickly and effectively.
Zwerschke slips a straight right by Goenji.

Goenji drives through with a takedown into guard.

Goenji decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Zwerschke, up you get!

Goenji drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Goenji jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Zwerschke has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Goenji is working away from the top position though.

Zwerschke really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goenji. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zwerschke is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Goenji is controlling him.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Goenji accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Goenji wants to pass the guard but Zwerschke is keeping the position.
Goenji has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Zwerschke is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Zwerschke has his feet on Goenji's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

A head kick from Zwerschke lands but Goenji takes it in his stride.
Zwerschke fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Goenji is out of range.

Goenji shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Goenji showed some decent athleticism there.

Goenji is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Zwerschke is just riding it out for now. Goenji eventually gives up the hold.

Zwerschke regains full guard. Nicely done.
Goenji wants to stand but Zwerschke has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Zwerschke fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Goenji has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Zwerschke tries a head kick but it misses.
Zwerschke lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Zwerschke lands a high kick to the side of Goenji's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Zwerschke dives into guard, looking to finish.


Goenji is rocked!


It looks like Mizuro Goenji has been cut.

Zwerschke gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Oh Goenji is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Zwerschke! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Wyatt Zwerschke!
