Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Garfield Prowse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Marshall is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prowse closes this distance looking for a takedown but Marshall circles away.
Marshall blocks a low kick nicely.
Good exchange - Prowse coming out on top.
Prowse looks to land a right hand but Marshall moved out of range.
Prowse lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Marshall at a distance.
Garfield Prowse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marshall fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Prowse throws an overhand right that lands on Marshall's shoulder, as Marshall tries to avoid the shot.
Prowse pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Prowse looks to land a right hand but Marshall moved out of range.
Prowse cracks Marshall with a right hand to the side of the head.
Prowse gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Marshall counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Marshall connects with a couple of short punches.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Marshall's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Marshall won't allow Prowse to get back to his feet.
Marshall has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Marshall is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

It looks like Garfield Prowse has been cut.
Prowse has hold of Marshall's hands but Marshall slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Marshall is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Marshall thows a huge punch but Prowse dodges it nicely.

Prowse knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marshall on the ground.

Marshall slips a nice elbow through Prowse's hands, connecting with Prowse's forehead.

Garfield Prowse's cut is getting worse.
Marshall is nestled in close to Prowse, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Marshall connects with a nice short shot to Prowse's temple.

Prowse is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Marshall scores with a couple of nice shots.

Jeez, Garfield Prowse's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Garfield Prowse's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
