PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between SUPER QUICK (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). QUICK has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Scott Summers will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

QUICK has taken the fight to the clinch.
QUICK gets underhooks to prevent Summers's takedown attempt.
Summers tries for a takedown but QUICK manages to get underhooks.
QUICK is pressed up against the cage. Summers has hold of a leg and is looking to drag QUICK down to the mat. QUICK avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
SUPER QUICK has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Summers.
Summers looks for the body kick but QUICK saw that one coming.
QUICK takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
QUICK is breathing heavily.
QUICK on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
QUICK has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Summers.
Summers throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by QUICK.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
QUICK takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Summers lands a head kick that stumbles QUICK and the fighters go to the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Summers thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Summers has hold of QUICK's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! QUICK tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Summers cranks the arm and QUICK screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from QUICK, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
